Abstract

From this episode ,we get to know about the role played by the Department of National Libraries in the preservation of books and manuscripts, the acquisition of intellectual production at home and abroad, the organisation of books and the protection of copyright . Before reaching this there are stages that the National Library passed through :The belief that thought, books and the author should have an institution to conserve this intellectual production. The publication of books and the fact of providing the library with them makes it easier for the researcher, the publisher and the reader to have access to them .
