Abstract

Oum Mouataz is a Jordanian woman who inherited a heavy burden . She is poor, sick and has to bring up her four children in an old and poorly equipped house. But Oum Mouataz’s dream is great and her willingness to get out of this tragic situation is greater. The relief came from the radio and television which rebuilt her house, refurnished it and made it viable. This model of the institutions which reduce the burden on citizens should be highlighted, especially when we know Oum Mouataz’s interest in her family and her house, and her awareness as to her responsibility towards them.
