The development of the Jordanian person depends, to a great extent, on the education and the awareness to keep pace with the evolution the developed world is witnessing. This gave birth to the idea of the “Light Tent”; a carnival of culture and reading held in villages and remote areas to provide them with books . In Wadi Moussa and other villages of the South, one can notice the distance from education centers, so the idea of a moving tent (Carnival) contributes in providing educational opportunities for their residents. This consists of free exhibitions of books, and seminars held to raise the people’s interest in books and education. The carnival is among the initiatives undertaken by individuals and groups.Type
