Abstract

The program introduces students in social development from the department of sociology, University of Jordan.They train and assist local residents in the countryside and villages in southern Jordan to rely on the self and succeed in their productive projects in agriculture. Moreover, they teach them how to manage their social life and its development, without abandoning their heritage, deserts and residential concentrations. This leading role of the social development students concerns the city as well, but it is more significant in remote communities far from city centers.
