Abstract

Fishery is one of the most important sectors that should benefit from investment, especially in areas with a large volume of water such as the Jordan valley. This water is used for irrigation but there are initiatives to use it for aquiculture whether to meet the family needs or for commercial purposes. These projects contribute to increase the investors as well as the workers' incomes. In addition, it is possible to breed various fish species, those living in hot waters (hot valley) and those living in cold areas. This contributes to supply fish that is rich in protein and important for balanced diets, with reasonable prices compared with imported fish. Interviews with managers of these farms.
