Abstract

The village of Wadi Mussa is closely linked to the Nabataeans' civilization of Petra . Petra is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Wadi Musa, a small and modest village, whose inhabitants were mostly farmers, has seen great progress in development. Because of the influx of tourists visiting Petra and Wadi Mussa, schools, health centers, hotels and shopping centers were built, the fact which prompted a big change in the residents' life who became workers in the touristic sector instead of farmers. Horses are also important because they allow tourists to move around the city and are part of the touristic attraction .
