Abstract

Desert dwellers face many challenges that they overcome and adapt to their lifestyle. One of them is the perpetual search of pasture and water for the camels and cattle; however that doesn't prevent them from being welcoming . Hospitality is an essential quality to them. They insist on the distinction between public and private area and stay late at night listening to the tunes of "Rababa" and drinking 'Sada' coffee. They have seasons to shear the wool needed to make clothing and bedding. Each season has its own history and memories for men of the desert.
