Abstract

Herbs and medicinal plants play an important role in the human life. They sometimes interfere in the manufacture of vegetable oils or extract from them materials for therapeutic purposes or are used as food. What are the studies and researches that have been done to know their curative, preventive and food value? What is the role required to maintain this wealth by the concerned institutions? Wild flowers were used by people in Jordan long ago and they still use them to cure diseases and sicknesses as the popular and inherited methods. With the progress of science, it became clear that these plants contain essential oils and chemicals which contribute to the manufacture of medicines and treatments. .So more research must be done so that these plants and herbs won’t disappear.
