Abstract

A tour with our guests to the city of Mahis to discover its tourist sites, its fields, its farms and orchards. Interviews with my companions in the trip: employees from the development and employment who wanted to know more about one of the historical and tourist regions and the standard of services. Tourists enjoy this region full of fields, farms, water sources such as Ain Um El Djermane and Ain Mahis, orchards full of almonds, grapes, pomegranates and oak forests. This city dates back to the era before Christ, according to archeological studies, some parts of it date back to the Roman era. The city became part of the Umayad dynasty under the reign of the Caliph Muawiya Ben Abi Soufiane where The Oum Mouawiya mountain is situated West of Mahis. There is also the tomb of El Khoudr peace upon him, in addition to the presence of a tree which dates back to this period. Mahis used to be a resting area for travelers from the Arabian Peninsula to Beit El Maqdis.
