Abstract

Students in sociology carry out a variety of projects and activities . These projects contribute to the development of women and children; they involve them in volunteering and enable them to participate in the local development. An association, in collaboration with a swiss Fund set up several projects in Aqaba, in five villages where the desert lifestyle was dominating. Life is difficult there are no services, so training women and children in productive projects through workshops, conferences and meetings is important .
