Abstract

This episode talks about the Union of Jordanian Women established in 1981 including about 154 women’s associations. This union has branches in all the regions of the Kingdom; it is interested in improving women’s income and training them to be efficient ladies in society. It also strengthens their role and enables then to build the democratic, social and political development through training in all fields, as well as through family counseling . One of the pilot projects is that of “Kitchen production” in all provinces through which food products are manufactured and sold and the benefit is shared among the women working in this field, one of their centers is “Al Khansaa center” in the region of El Hashimia, where women are trained in the arts of sewing and make-up.
