Abstract

This episode talks about Mr Rakad Eshabib who loved the desert and reclaimed 500 acres which he transformed into an agricultural field. This changed his life ;from a travelling desert man moving from a spot to another seeking for water and pasture for his livestock into a peasant relying on agriculture in this area where he works with 700 other people growing vegetables and fruit, mainly tomatoes and melons as well as all kinds of fruit and citrus fruit . Nowadays, more than 6000 acres are planted with all kinds of vegetables and fruit. He is assisted by his sons in the management of this farm, as they obtained high degrees and jobs in the government. This project is one of the pilot projects which support the nation’s economy and provide income and job opportunities for people in remote areas.
