This episode is about the Bedouins' heritage, including the making of El-Arboud. It is a special cake made from flour and water; the dough is buried into embers mixed with hot sand.Once cooked, the cake is cleared from sand and ash and is crumbled up. Then milk, chicken pieces and animal fat are added. This dish is consumed in Karak, in the south of Jordan. The second part is devoted to the shearing of sheep and goats in summer, to protect the animals from heat and collect the wool and hair used in making tents and clothing. This operation takes place on specific dates with special tools in the north eastern desert.Type
