Abstract

This program sheds light on one of the national institutions, the Royal Aviation Academy. Through the interview with Captain Mohamed Fayadh El Khawalda (General Manager), we will know about the academy and the objectives for which it was founded. The academy was founded in the period of the late King Hussein Ben Talal. After having established the Jordan Airlines in 1963, it became clear that there was a need to train and encourage Jordanian youth to start a career in aviation. An aviation club was founded in 1968, trained a group of pilots then became an Air Institute, later named the Royal Jordanian Air Academy. Since its foundation, the Academy attracts students from Jordan and Arab countries. They study for three years and graduate in many specialties related to aviation and aircraft.
