The program covers the importance of the industrial sector in Jordan after 1979, and its contribution to the national income, as it provided job opportunities and raised the levels of trade. The government decided to helpt and encourage this vital sector by removing anything that might hinder its development. In 1980, industrial cities were built in different regions, through the attraction of domestic capital, to shelter all the industries of the kingdom. In 1984,the industrial city Sahab was built ;the government provided factory owners privileges such as tax exemptions, housing for workers, vocational training centers as well as care centers. It also contributed to find markets for products intended for export from all industrial cities.Type
