Abstract

The episode is about the province of Maan, South of Jordan, its villages, its population groupings, and its fauna. It introduces the services provided by the government to this province in the fields of health care, agriculture and educati The episode also introduces the different cities of the province, such as Shobak, Petra and Aqaba. Maan is an important commercial center which the Islamic Army entered on its way to Mutah in the 7th century. The city of Maan dates back to the period of the Great Arab revolt, it was the capital of the state under the rule of Sharif Hussein Ben Ali, whose house and the Turkish Castles are still there.
