Abstract

The episode is about Salt, its architecture, its orchards and pomegranate trees . Its importance increased after it had been linked to Al Balka, during the 0meyade period. In 1129, it fell under the reign of King Nacer Daoud Ben Aissa. The archaeological sites indicate the long history of the city, dating back to the 3rd and 4th century. In Salt, tourists can enjoy, the park of Zai, the mountains, the pine and oak forests overlooking the west bank cities and the area of Oum-El-Amd and Oum-El-Dananir as well as Mahes, Fuheis and other agricultural areas. It is also the location of the site of Abu-Obeida Amer Ibn El Djarrah.
