A documentary in English dealing with the Bedouins' qualities, such as hospitality, generosity and their interest in coffee brought from Ethiopia. In the 17th century, Arabian coffee became very popular in Jordan and the Arabian Peninsula. Coffee is not a mere hot drink, it is part of the customs and traditions. We will discover “the café of the mosque”, founded in 1923. The cup of coffee is considered as an opportunity to meet people and talk to them, it is consumed with the bubbly and while playing dominoes or reading a magazine in the cafés of Amman. We will also know how the grains are ground in El Mahbash (traditional grinder) and its musical sound considered as an invitation for a cup of coffee to discuss about the city. Finally, we will discover how the traditional coffee grinders “Mahabish” are made.Type
