Abstract

On the occasion of the visit of His Holiness, Pope Jean Paul II to Jordan, we will know about some of the Christian religious sites, especially in the region of Ajloun. Sites and holy places are very frequent on the itinirary of Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him), his mother and his students, in their journey from Palestine to the East of Jordan. These sites are in Jerash, Kafranja and Anjara where the church of Our Lady of the Mountain was built, not far from the castle of Ajloun. They teach people more about the qualities of Jesus Christ such as, love and tolerance. One of the sites is that of Tel Mar Elias, where Saint Elias was born.
