Abstract

This program is about Al Aqaba with its warm climate, unique port which was important in the past when it was used by the Nabataeans. Al Aqaba was inhabited by many people and civilizations.The most important ones were the Aldomeon, the Moabites, the Romans and the Muslims. The remains of the city of Ayla which date back to the Umayyad period were discovered. Presentation of El Aqaba’s Castle which was used in the period of Cherif El Hussein Ben AliI during the great Arab revolt. Al Aqaba is situated near Petra and Wadi Rum. Al Aqaba is known by its clean streets, beaches , its Calm Sea and its modern roads and airport (King Hussein’s Airport) . There are also projects to serve tourism :beaches, hotels and the interest given to coral and marine life. There is also a Royal Diving Club to which fans of this sport go to enjoy themselves.
