Abstract

A program which focuses on the most important agricultural achievements in Jordan despite lack of agricultural areas in Jordan and lack of water. Agriculture contributes to enhance the economy and is a source of Jordanian food although there are many obstacles facing this domain. His Majesty King Abdullah II Ben Hussein made from the year 2008 a “Green Year” in order to give importance to agriculture and increase agricultural areas. We get to know about all the data about this sector, economically, socially and environmentally. This indicates the great interest of his Majesty Abdullah II ben Hussein with the agricultural sector from which great projects and farms in the Jordan valley, the Northern or Southern desert emerge. A great importance is also given to the livestock and fisheries.
