- Presentation of the city of Mawqer which is located twenty Kms east of Amman. Previously it was the capital of the Umayyad after Damascus. There are monuments there which indicate the interest of the Umayyads for this place. The Mawker city is cited in many Arabic poetry with the city of Hijaz. Among the monuments there: the Umayyad Palace which has been destroyed but there are still ruins of it. It was built during the reign of El caliph Yazid Ben Abdelmalek There is a large pool dating back to that period. Presentation of the city, its inhabitants, its renaissance, buildings and the services provided there.Type
