Presentation of the city Irbid located in the north of the Kingdom, known anciently as Arabella, it was considered as a good base for merchants from which they crossed to explore the Northern Jordan Valley, and Palestinian cities. It was built is the reign of Allonvion in the third century BC in the period of Alexander the Great with other cities like: Souf and Umm Qais. Water was provided from Ramtha in the Romans’ era. In the Islamic period, mosques were built there. - Irbid is known today for the cultivation of wheat and fruit.Type
