Abstract

The episode talks about Madaba’s history from the Neolithic period. The town was once a Moabite border city dating back from the middle bronze age. Other civilizations than the Moabites' left monuments there during the eighth century BC :the Moabites , the Arabs, the Greek then the Nabataean civilizations. Wars broke out to occupy Madaba. Finally it became a Christian city and so many churches were built there. The city was known with its mosaics . It has gained a religions, economic and historical importance. - Presentation of Mount Nebo, the holy Mountain of Moses (peace upon him). The historical period of Moses there, the places he passed through and his influence in this region.
