Abstract

This episode deals with the Islamic religious life in the Jordan Valley. It is also called the Valley of Abu Ubeida (Ibn Amer Al Jarrah), after a Muslim commander who took part in the Islamic conquests in Mesopotamia . He was one of the prophet's companions to whom heaven was promised. A mosque was built in this valley, in which there was a mausoleum. This mosque is a place of worship, science and knowledge of Islamic arts and architecture. It has been restored during the Hashemite period.
