Abstract

The village of Ayl is located in the south of Jordan. It is an old village with old houses and an old mill still in use. It was called Ayl because of the abundance of deer in the surrounding forests. The old village is now empty, its inhabitants moved to a new one; supplied with the necessary services ( health, electricity, education). The main activity is mostly sheep keeping which supplies the villagers with milk, meat, and wool.
