Abstract

This episode is about the palace of justice, built in the centre of the capital Amman. There is also a house of justice located on Jabal El Qalaa dating back to the Mamluks reign. It is a large room where the Sultan used to sit, surrounded by judges and members of a jury. It remained till the reign of Sultan Hassan II, in 757 Hegira/ 1356. The house is described in terms of architectural design and facilities; the house was built of stones, with embroidery and sculptures on the gates. Then the program moves over time through the paintings of the Chinese artist (Lian Dan Fong), in which she expressed Jordan’s spirituality, after her visits to Jordan in 1978.
