Abstract

Photos of Jerusalem, Its building walls and streets. Jerusalem dates back to 4000 years BC. Photos of a mill, houses, mosques and churches in Jerusalem. Najm Khodr talks about some periods in the history of Jerusalem such as the Greece, Roman, Byzantine and Islamic periods. The most prominent ones were Errachidine, the Oumayads, the Abbasids, the Fatimids, the Mamluks and the Othoman Empire… The report focuses on Jerusalem which is surrounded by 4 hills that are linked together and reason for building the wall above them. There is also a talk about the establishment of schools in the period of the Mamluks, about Jerusalem’s geographical and political location which didn’t exist in the past since it was a complete Arab unit. The walls of Jerusalem have been renovated during the Othoman period.
