Abstract

The report is about the history and foundation of the village of Jit, its development and the major events it has witnessed. We also discover the suffering of the village after the occupation and the confiscation of the land, the leveling of the site and the attempts to displace its inhabitants. Among the founders of Jit is Kaouche El Moqdadia family that gave a lot to the village. Palestinians living in the village talk about its history, its past and present. In 1948, the Israeli occupants burnt the farms, killed the livestock in order to empty the village and confiscate the land, but some resisted and did not move. - Poems from the village about events that occurred there and people who witnessed them.
