Abstract

A journey through the beauty and traditions of the Piedmont Alps. From Comboscuro, where the provencal origin is still apparent, we reach Asti via typical villages such as, Briga with its small church of Our Lady of the Fountain, where we find 15th century frescoes. Vernante is a a district known for its houses fronts painted with frescoes representing Attilio Mussino's paintings. The Valle Maira is dominated by the peak of Monviso. The museum of arts and crafts is located in Cisterna d'Asli. The landscapes are characterized by vine farming. Wine is very important in the region, both as a means of survival and a means of socialization. Indeed, in their conversations, people are very often sitting before a bottle of wine.
