Abstract

The skipper Christiana Monica welcomes the audience and asks the children, invited to the program, to narrate their experiences during their journey through the italian ports. Then Monica describes the characteristics of the port of Marina di Carrara and the necessary docking manoeuvres. Giammanco speaks with Anselmo Ricci about the history and the characteristics of a marble pit of Massa Carrara and the international marble market. Giammanco asks Paola Blasi, Geologist, on the natural park of the Apuan Alps and the features of the landscape. C. Monica interviews Luigi Guccinelli, President of the port authorities of Marina di Carrara, on the specificities of this port for marble and granit trade. Giammanco asks the sculptor Carlo Nicoli on the recognition by the Unesco for his his laboratory of sculpture on marble, on the modern techniques of the work of marble, and on some of his works
