Abstract

A report on the daily life under the Vesuvius and the risks related to its eruption for the nearby municipalities. The report also evokes the recent history of the volcano through images of the March 1944 eruption. Giovanni Macedonio shows that the next eruption will be destructive, after years rest. He mentions the illicit constructions and the evacuation plans and the awareness to live in a risky area. De Lello comments the reorganization plan of the Vesuvian area presented by the Campania region. Ferrari shows what to do in case of evacuation if the inhabitants do not intend to abandon their homes.
