Abstract

A journalist is recalling shortly the history of the city Mazara del Vallo (Trapani), where the baroque often melts with Norman Arabs’ architectures. Exteriors of the cathedral and close ups of the domes in the Arabic style. Shots of the statue “the dancing satyr”, entangled in a fisherman net in 1998 and now kept in the civic museum. Interview of the city counselor Danilo Di Maria about the artistic value of the statue, made by the Greek artist Praxiteles during the IV century B.C.
