Abstract

Documentary about the modern techniques of cultivation of orchards. Example of picking peaches in Faenza, in Emilia-Romagna, thanks to a process of an advanced mechanization . Faenza also proposes an old craft tradition, that of earthenware, a term that derives precisely from the city name. Faenza craftsmen paint fruit on the dishes. The tradition of the orchard is also an opportunity for country festivals. In Alto Adige, presentation of the culture of the apple, recognized as falling within the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI). Evocation of the history of Pala Lorenza pears for which the region dedicates a festival. Interview with the promoter, Valerio Rainis. Preparation of a specialty from pears.
