Evocation of the history of Vesuvius with the printer Mario Raffone, the ethnomusicologist Roberto De Simone, the artist Gianni Pisani, the writer Vittorio Paliotti and the researchers of the Vesuvius Observatory Giovanni Orsi and Marcello Martini : on the charm and fascination aroused by Vesuvius on the imagination of Italians and tourists, the legends about the origins of Vesuvius, the danger of a dormant volcano likely to wake up again . In 79 BC an eruption destroyed Pompeii and Herculaneum. In 1631 a new eruption devastated the region. In 1944 the rain of ash and lava partly destroyed the city of San Sebastiano.
