Abstract

The saviors of seeds are passionate about biodiversity which aim to collect, list and preserve the traditional agricultural seed species threatened by monoculture. Many varieties of fruit, vegetables and grains are indeed in danger. The association "Civiltà contadina" (peasant culture) brings together the environmental and citizen initiatives. A Vasanello, in the province of Viterbo, the association members have recreated a garden with the flavors and agricultural species consumed in the Middle Ages.
