Abstract

Life and work of the unionist Luciano Lama, born in 1921 in Gambettola, near Forli. Graduated in social sciences in Florence in 1943, he joined the resistance. He joined the Communist Party in 1946 and joined the Party Central Committee in 1956. Elected three times MP from 1958, he left politics in 1969 to devote himself to unionism. With Berlinguer, secretary general of the Communist Party, he defended moderate ideas and puts the defense of the democratic state as an intangible condition . In 1977, his speech at La Sapienza University of Rome is fiercely disputed by the extra-parliamentary left. Lama attended the funerals of the worker Guido Rossa, who was killed in Genoa by the Red Brigades on January 25, 1977. Documentary based on archival images ..
