Abstract

Documentary about the Vajont Valley, in the Friuli region. Interview with the sculptor, writer and mountaineer Mauro Corona who tells stories about the life of Erto 's village, hard hit by the disaster of the Vajont which occurred in 1963. After a major landslide, a part of the mountain fell into the water reservoir of the Vajont Dam, resulting in the formation of huge waves that spread and overflowed into the valley, affecting many villages and killing nearly 2,000 people. Interview with the writer Aldo Tome about local legends.
