Abstract

Documentary focused on the emancipation of women during the XX century in the western world and especially in Italy. Archive footage illustrating their history through the main events of the century : Suffragettes demonstrations in american streets during the early years of the XX century, women at work in the fields and in the factories during the war, red cross nurses during the First World War acting with the partisans during the Resistance.
