Abstract

Discovery of the history and cultural specificities of Piobbico, a small village on the border between Umbria and Marche, near the Valley of Monte Nerone. A city with a rich medieval architectural heritage, related to the power of the family Brancaleoni, such as the castle, built in the thirteenth century , enlarged and decorated in the sixteenth century. A room of the castle was equipped with the money received in exchange for the release of a Turkish Pasha prisoner by Count Brancaleoni at the Battle of Lepanto (1571). Region also rich in fossils, skeletons of extinct animals as the cave bear. Views of caving sites in the region. Views of the city streets of Piobbico, hills and theBrancaleoni castle.
