Abstract

Commentary on economic and scientific resources necessary for the preservation and restoration of the Italian artistic heritage. The report points out the different restoration techniques used for painting and sculpture. Views of ancient monuments and frescoes : details of Leonardo's Last Supper in the refectory of the convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, moments of the restoration of the Riace's bronze statues found in the sea. Views of frescoes by Michelangelo in Sistine Chapel in the Vatican, by Giotto in Scrovegni Chapel in Padua and commentary about restorers working on frescoes in the Basilica of San Francesco in Assisi.
