Abstract

Amouddou continues the trip through the oasis of Draa introducing the two mountain city : Zagora. Despite the progress made in the field of urbanisation, Zagora didn't manage to free itself from its roots : The kasbahs, the ksours which have been the themes of numerous artistic expressions . This episode deals with the social and political role played by Draa's ksours before the French protectorate, and also on the composition of its population especially its Jewish component . Knowing that Draa's ksours have been deteriorated by the absence of necessary care, isn't it time yet to find effective solutions to preserve this precious cultural heritage?.
