Abstract

Casablanca, Morocco's economic capital, recorded in the early seventies 1.5 million inhabitants, and over three million in 1980. However, the physical framework in which the city grew during the sixties and seventies , including the hygiene measures, sanitation and civil preventions is no longer adequate to the challenges and the quantitative evolution of the city. For these reasons, it was decided to devote significant funds to Casablanca for the renovation of the urban transport network, drinking water and electricity supply.
