Escapade of 'Amouddou ' in Amassine's village. Omar, a resident, takes us to the "Mellah" (a Jewish district) to see the houses that were inhabited by Jews and the synagogue which served as a place of worship and meetings. Then, a visit to the ' Outahaddout's zawiya' and its forgotten library which used to attract people eager to acquire knowledge. Finally, we end our tour with a visit to a fort dating back to the nineteenth century that served both as a mirador, a deposit of the villagers ' valuable belongings and as a meeting place to disputes. Like all ancient villages of the Atlas, the Amassine village is rooted in history and is distinguished by its authentic architectural monuments, in great need to be restored.Type
