Abstract

The kasbahs of Ouarzazate are worldwide known . Their ancient construction techniques which used natural materials extracted from the earth have disappeared in most countries. To present the architectural history of the region, this episode describes two types of kasbahs : the Touarirt Kasbah, known as the oldest resident community in the region, and the Ait ben Haddou Kasbah, known by filmmakers and archaeologists, this kasbah has been classified as a world heritage by the UNESCO. Interviews with Rafie Ahmed, professor and researcher, Lmedhi Salhi, researcher, Mohamed Jamal Edine, resident of Ait Benhaddou 's ksar.
