Abstract

This Amouddou's episode deals with Bilal's life, a shepherd herding camels . Like all shepherds ,from the beginning of camels' domestication , Bilal has preferred to live in the middle of this very hard and dry climate to dedicate all his time to his herd . We follow chronologically a day in the life of this desert's lover ,the servant of this animal which withstands the Sahara's harsh life . The documentary questions the continuity of a fierce and deliberate way of life that still fascinates; the contrast between the modern and the old ,the sedentary and the transhumance .
