Abstract

The program deals with the care and attention given by Morrocans to the Quran since the Islamic conquest of Morocco. This attention is characterized by the establishment of special schools to teach the Quran to both children and adults alike. These Quranic schools or “M'sids” as they are called locally, have contributed to the teaching of the Islamic religion in Morocco. Many scholars and learned men graduated from these schools.
