Abstract

The program deals with the cultural, social and urban aspects which distinguish the city of Tetouan, North of the kingdom. Tetouan was built on the ruins of the Roman city, Tamonda, which dates back to the 1st and 2nd centuries B.C. In modern history, Tetouan has played an important role in linking Morroco with Europe through Andalusia, this is why it became a meeting place for many civilizations that influenced greatly the lifestyle of the population and its colonial architecture which has been classified as a part of the architectural heritage by the UNESCO.
