Abstract

The aromatic herbs cooperative Toudart was created within the program of the National Initiative for Human Development. The aim is to rise the living and financial standard of rural women and to preserve the environment and local forests which are threatened by deforestation. Women in the cooperative plant aromatic herbs and take care of them in order to restore the local vegetation's balance. They also trade them both for cosmetic and therapic use.
