Abstract

The episode of Asrak deals water issues in the Middle and the High Atlas. The report shows that over 73% of water ressources are found in the North or the West, whereas the East and the South are almost semi-arid areas. The program notes that Morocco suffers from drought, so it is necessary to protect this resource. It shows examples of rational use of water by some farmers who use the drip system for irrigation; considered as a modern method that preserves water. Interviews with some farmers from the Atlas, and active militants in associations.
